Monday 19 September, the day of the Queen’s funeral, has now been confirmed as a bank holiday.

In line with other bank holidays, the trust will be pausing most of our services. However emergency and urgent care for high priority patients will go ahead as planned. Most outpatient appointments will be postponed.

All patients who have an appointment or procedure scheduled for Monday will be contacted by our outpatient teams this week.

We understand that this may be a difficult time for many people and we are working hard to ensure we can continue to provide the best possible care. We would like to thank all our patients for their understanding at this time.

Please remember that our emergency departments and urgent treatment centres will run as normal throughout this bank holiday weekend. Please call NHS 111 or visit NHS 111 online if you or your family need urgent medical help.
