We are experiencing some additional pressures with our blood taking services (known as phlebotomy) at the Royal Free Hospital and you may be experiencing a long wait. We have seen an increase in demand for this walk-in service and are looking into why this might be the case. This has coincided with a shortage of staff at this service and we are working hard to recruit additional clinicians to rectify this.
 
Other blood testing services are available at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital or Edgware Community Hospital. Patients can book an appointment here.
 
Our busiest times are Mondays and Tuesdays and every day at 7.30am and we would be grateful if you could avoid these times, if possible.
