Queenie Mae Narciso, has been honoured with a prestigious Royal College of Nursing Foundation Impact Award, recognising her outstanding contribution to patient care and professional excellence.
Queenie, a clinical nurse specialist for the patient at risk and resuscitation team (PART), received her award for outstanding achievement by a nurse working in the NHS. She credits the RCN Foundation education grant as a pivotal moment in her career, fostering her growth as a patient-centred practitioner and leaving a lasting impact on both her professional journey and the care she provides.
Queenie said: “Receiving this award is an incredible honour. The support from the RCN Foundation has been life changing, allowing me to develop my expertise and improve care for my patients. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact.”
“It’s always a privilege to see first-hand the impact one of our education grants makes – not only on individuals like our award winners but also on the communities they support,” said Deepa Korea, director of the RCN Foundation. “These awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of nurses and midwives who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care.”
This year’s ceremony marked the 15th anniversary of the RCN Foundation, which has supported over 11,000 healthcare professionals since 2010 through education grants and funding initiatives.
The awards were hosted by Reverend Richard Coles (pictured with Queenie), shining a spotlight on seven inspiring winners selected from hundreds of applicants nationwide.
The awards celebrate the dedication and expertise of nurses, midwives, and healthcare support workers across the UK.
