Staff celebrated the third national healthcare estates and facilities day with all their colleagues (Wednesday 19th June).

This was an opportunity to highlight the Royal Free London estates and facilities service and its incredible staff members – including cleaners, porters, fire officers, security, switchboard team, decontamination teams and catering staff. Their work ensures the smooth running of sites across the trust and has a huge impact on patient and staff experience.

To celebrate their contribution events took place across the trust. Staff were invited to come along and meet estates and facilities colleagues at roadshows with information stalls which were held at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.

Jeremy Sharp, director of estates and facilities at Barnet Hospital, said: “National healthcare estates and facilities day celebrates the hard work and commitment from all of our teams and partner organisations. All of our colleagues are proud of the contribution they make to the patient experience and maintaining a safe and compliant environment for us all.

“The day allows us to shine the spotlight on all of our teams, many of whom work away from the frontline and out of sight but nonetheless their contribution is invaluable and integral to the smooth running of all our hospitals and associated sites.”
