Today, we have closed some of RFL’s adult out-patient services and blood taking service at Edgware Community Hospital (ECH) until further notice. This is part of RFL’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, to protect patients, staff and the public.

Our anticoagulation clinics are running as usual so please attend as planned. We will contact you directly if we make any changes.

Our children’s services also remain open. Further information on these will be shared shortly.

Adult out-patient appointments

If you are due to have an out-patient appointment at Edgware Community Hospital, we will contact you.

Your appointment may be changed to a virtual appointment (either by telephone or video), the location of your appointment may be changed to one of our other hospitals, or where clinical teams feel it is safe to do, your appointment may be rearranged or cancelled.

If your appointment is changed to a telephone appointment, please note the number may appear as a private or unknown caller. Please do pick up.

Adult blood taking service closure

If this closure affects you, we will contact you directly by text or phone. Please do not visit the hospital for your blood test.

If your GP or clinician has referred you for an urgent blood test, this will need to take place at another blood test unit. We will give you guidance on this when we contact you.
