Our andrology laboratory provides analysis of semen, including concentration in millions/mL, motility, volume, morphology, pH, liquefaction, viscosity, inflammatory cells, assessment of azoospermia and antibody-mediated causes for male infertility — all strictly according to World Health Organisation criteria.
The andrology service provided by the pathology laboratory at Barnet Hospital is by appointment only during normal morning working hours.
Validity of results is dependent on the correct collection and transport of the specimen to the laboratories.
Reports for andrology testing, motility and post-vasectomy sperm concentration are issued within five working days.
