Our district nurses provide a wide range of home and community-based nursing services in Enfield, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams across primary, secondary, community and social care.
We have six daytime district nursing teams and one night team delivering 24-hour nursing care.
In addition, there is a community nurse-led clinic at St Michael’s Primary Care Centre in Enfield four days a week, except Wednesdays, offering skilled assessments and treatments for adult patients within the borough of Enfield.
Our team provide:

pressure ulcer and leg ulcer management and prevention advice to patients, their families or carers

simple and complex wound care
-
care for acutely ill patients
-
post-operative care
-
advice and management for patients with long term conditions such as diabetes
-
administration of intravenous therapy as prescribed and care for patients with cytotoxic IV drug therapy

palliative care support, symptom control and end of life care

advice and management of continence problems

assessment for equipment to provide and maintain independence
-
referral to other specialist services as necessary

health promotion where required, promote independence and self care and work with other community services to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions
The service accepts referrals for adult patients who live in Enfield.
