Our team provide support to adults living in Enfield with a diagnosis of post-COVID syndrome — often referred to as long COVID — to improve your quality of life and assist with your recovery.
The multidisciplinary team takes a personalised approach to your care, helping to reduce your symptoms.
They see patients referred to us from the post-COVID assessment clinic at University College London Hospitals, where they will conduct the necessary investigations and provide guidance on any medical management, such as tests and prescriptions required, prior to referring you to our community team.
Our team can provide:
- education on management of post-COVID syndrome through strategies and lifestyle modifications
- fatigue management
- breathing pattern retraining
- strategies for cognitive dysfunction (brain fog)
- advice on improving physical activity
- sleep optimisation techniques
- referrals for psychological support
- vocational rehabilitation
- referrals to relevant support services
Usually, your appointments will be via video call or telephone. Where there is a clinical need, the team may see you in person at Highlands Practice in Winchmore Hill.
Referrals to the service are accepted from the University College London Hospitals post-COVID assessment clinic to: northmid.
Our team see adults who live in Enfield who have ongoing symptoms after having COVID or suspected COVID illness that has not fully recovered after 12 weeks and cannot be explained by other illnesses.
The service does not replace urgent care for seriously unwell patients who should be treated by our emergency teams.
