Dr Antke Hagena

Biography

Dr Antke Hagena was appointed as a consultant in palliative medicine at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust in January 2014. She also works at Marie Curie Hospice Hampstead. Dr Hagena is a specialist in symptom control for patients with a broad range of illnesses. She has been working with cancer patients at all stages of their disease, but also has extensive experience in neurological conditions, as well as heart, lung and kidney failure. While she is actively involved in teaching and research, her key area of interest is service improvement to allow all patients access to excellent care. She has previously worked as a consultant in Germany, and has been holding leadership roles both there and in the UK.
