Dr Caplin is an academic renal physician with a clinical interest in chronic kidney disease and transplantation. He has responsibility for renal undergraduate medical education.
Dr Caplin's research is focused on population-based, clinical and laboratory studies into the causes and complications of chronic kidney disease.
