Dr Emma Whicher

Biography

Emma joined North Middlesex University Hospital (North Mid) as medical director in December 2018 having worked as NHS Improvement’s regional medical director for London since 2016. Prior to joining NHS Improvement, Emma was medical director at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust where she developed its quality improvement series and oversaw a £160m modernisation programme. Emma has been appointed as the North Central London Integrated Care System’s lead for children and young people, and maternity. A consultant psychiatrist specialising in drug and alcohol misuse, Emma continues her clinical practice alongside North Mid's psychiatric liaison team.
