Dr Nasirul Ekbal

Biography

Whilst undergoing specialist training, Dr Ekbal gained an MRC fellowship to study a PhD, investigating the effects of mitochondrial fluorescence in shock states and last year also completed a post-graduate certificate in medical education at the Royal College of Physicians (London).

He is one of the few specialists in the UK who has dual-certification in Nephrology and Intensive Care and Renal Medicine and therefore has substantive experience of managing acutely unwell/critically ill patients and the in-patient rehabilitation of patients post ICU discharge.
