Mr Abhishek Reekhaye

Biography

Mr Abhishek Reekhaye is a consultant urological surgeon appointed to the Specialist Centre for Kidney Cancer at the Royal Free Hospital in 2024. 

He qualified from Newcastle University in 2011. Following completion of his basic surgical training in the North East, he undertook a period of research in minimally-invasive surgery and was awarded an MCh in Urology with distinction from Canterbury Christ Church University.  Mr Reekhaye undertook his specialist urological training on the prestigious South London rotation in several renowned hospitals, including Guy’s and King’s College Hospitals, developing complex skills in laparoscopic and robotic kidney surgery.  This was followed by a dedicated robotic and laparoscopic retroperitoneal renal cancer fellowship at the Frimley Renal Cancer Centre.  Mr Reekhaye regularly attends and presents at national and international urological conferences.  He has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
