Mr Makis Laftsidis

Biography

Mr Prodromos (Makis) Laftsidis is a Consultant kidney transplant, vascular access and general surgeon with a specialist interest in the use of robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery. His clinical interests involve living donor nephrectomy and renal transplantation, polycystic nephrectomies, robotic adrenalectomies and laparoscopic inguinal and incisional hernia repair.

Mr Laftsidis specialises in complex vascular access surgery, including AV fistula and graft formation for dialysis. In addition to his clinical activities, he holds an RCS position as regional director for London North Central and responsible officer for the GMC. Mr Laftsidis also participates in national recruitment for consultant surgical posts for the NHS and Ministry of Defence
