Simiao Liu

Biography

Doctor Liu graduated from the UCL medical school in 2011 and completed his post-graduate training in the London North Central and East Deanery, with his cardiology training at the Barts Heart Centre in London. He achieved dual accreditation in cardiology and general internal medicine, training across North London’s general and tertiary teaching hospitals.

In 2021, Dr. Liu was appointed as a consultant cardiologist and general internal medicine physician at North Middlesex University Hospital, where he sub-specialises in heart failure and advanced cardiac imaging.

Dr. Liu is the departmental lead for clinical governance, responsible for maintaining quality standards and improving service provision. He chairs the monthly clinical governance meetings to discuss ongoing improvements and learnings from clinical outcomes. He is also the educational lead for UCL medical students, committed to ensuring high-quality teaching and a supportive learning environment for students rotating through the Cardiology department.
